Do you want to take financial responsibility for scaling a global technology pioneer?
As our new CFO, you will be a key member of the executive team at a pivotal moment as we prepare the company for significant international growth. We are looking for a commercially driven leader who will further develop our financial foundation and ensure robust governance as we transition into full-scale industrial operations.
You will act as a strategic partner to the CEO and the Board, with responsibility for building and professionalizing the finance function in line with our global ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will have full responsibility for the finance function in a company transitioning from R&D to full-scale serial production. We are looking for a CFO who is operationally strong, takes ownership of the entire cost base, and plays an active role in scaling the organization.
This is a hands-on role, where you will scale the finance function in step with the company’s growth, ensure financial robustness, and position finance as an active contributor across production, sourcing, and commercialization.
Your main responsibilities include:
Operational financial management and scaling
Own budgeting, cash flow management, and financial modeling to prepare the company for full industrial-scale operations.
Cost control and efficiency improvements
Leverage the finance function to identify and implement cost improvements across the organization and within the production line.
Commercial support and market strategy
Actively contribute to global market strategies, pricing models, and commercial agreements to ensure profitable growth.
Sourcing and supplier negotiations
Maintain control over component costs through direct involvement in sourcing strategies and supplier contract negotiations.
Capital and financing
Manage relationships with owners (Hatteland and Ronja Capital), banks, and public funding schemes (e.g., SkatteFUNN, Innovation Norway).
Decision support and board work
Establish KPIs and financial analyses that provide management with confidence in strategic decision-making. The role also serves as Board Secretary.
Systems and structure
Ensure optimal use of ERP systems to support the interaction between production, logistics, and sales.
Your Profile
We are looking for an operational, analytical, and strategically minded finance professional. You have strong business acumen and enjoy diving into the details to uncover efficiency potential, while also maintaining a clear strategic perspective.
As a person, you are independent, have high integrity, and are motivated by being a driving force in a company entering a scaling phase. You are a collaborative team player who thrives in long-term, demanding processes, and you are comfortable with a hands-on role in a fast-evolving organization.
Desired qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or equivalent
- Relevant experience in financial management or business controlling, preferably within industrial or production environments
- Experience with cash flow management and financial modeling for decision support
- Strong systems understanding (Excel/ERP) and interest in how digitalization can strengthen the finance function
- Understanding of supply chains and cost structures in industrial businesses is an advantage
- Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English
We recognize that skills can be developed. If you have the right drive and a commercial mindset, you will have the opportunity to engage broadly—from supplier negotiations to global market strategies.
