Production Engineer

Posted

Griff Aviation, based in Sykkylven, is a global pioneer in heavy-lift drones. We build machines that are transforming logistics, defense, and rescue operations by replacing traditional helicopters with more efficient, unmanned solutions.

We are now entering a phase where we are moving from serial production to full industrial scale. We are therefore looking for an Operations Engineer who can act as the link between our R&D department and production.

Responsibilities and Tasks

In the role of Operations Engineer, you will have a broad area of responsibility related to technical operations and the improvement of our production processes. You will work closely with the Production Manager and act as a driving force in achieving our goals of increased volume and improved margins.

Relevant responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing production processes that increase manufacturing capacity
  • Providing technical leadership of projects from initiation to final delivery
  • Managing master data in ERP systems and ensuring that all technical documentation complies with aviation requirements
  • Establishing effective control routines and handling deviations when they occur
  • Identifying bottlenecks, optimizing material flow, and contributing to reduced unit costs through smarter production methods

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is systematic, analytical, and enjoys finding practical solutions to technical challenges. You have natural authority in technical matters, while also being a team player who collaborates well across disciplines.

As a person, you are self-driven, highly execution-oriented, and able to create structure in an innovative and rapidly evolving environment. You are detail-oriented when needed, but never lose sight of the overall goal of efficient production.

We expect that you have:

  • An engineering degree in mechanical engineering, production engineering, industrial design, or a related field
  • A few years of practical experience from production environments or technical project management
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to quickly grasp complex systems
  • Experience with ERP systems and master data management

  • Strong ownership: Work in a company backed by solid, long-term industrial owners
