About the Role

As a Drone Pilot at Griff Aviation, you’ll operate our advanced drones for testing, client demonstrations, and real-world missions. Beyond flying, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to production, assembling and dismantling drones in our hangar, and take on service assignments for customers. This role demands technical know-how, practical skills, and a problem-solving mindset to ensure our UAVs deliver top-tier performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Griff Aviation drones safely and efficiently for testing, demonstrations, and client operations.
  • Perform pre-flight inspections, mission planning, and post-flight analysis to maintain peak performance.
  • Assist in production, assembly, and dismantling of drones, leveraging technical expertise.
  • Conduct service assignments for customers, troubleshooting and optimizing drone systems on-site or remotely.
  • Collaborate with engineers to refine designs and adapt solutions for industrial needs, like heavy-lift tasks or aerial inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with Norwegian and international aviation regulations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Completed and passed A1/A3 and STS exams (required).
  • Documented practical knowledge and experience operating multirotor drones.
  • Experience with drones exceeding 25 kg MTOM (Maximum Take-Off Mass) is highly desirable.
  • Valid drone pilot certification (e.g., RO3 or equivalent under Luftfartstilsynet; international certifications a plus).
  • Proven flight experience, ideally in industrial or technical settings.
  • Solid technical background—experience with mechanical systems, electronics, or similar hands-on work.
  • Practical, solution-oriented mindset with a talent for tackling challenges.
  • Comfortable assembling, dismantling, and servicing complex equipment.
  • Strong grasp of aviation safety and airspace regulations.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills; fluency in English and Norwegian required.
  • Passion for UAV technology and innovation.
  • Willingness to travel for client service assignments or demonstrations.
